History | Ken & Joe's | Santa Clarita, CA

The motorcycle business in the Santa Clarita Valley started in 1968 when Dick Allen opened a Yamaha dealership next to the railroad tracks. The Santa Clarita Valley (Newhall, Saugus, and Canyon Country) was a wide open riding area with trails in the surrounding mountains, canyon roads, and the gateway to the Mojave Desert. If you needed a part, a fix, or some local riding knowledge, you always stopped at Dick Allen's.

As the population in the valley grew, so did motorcycling. Over the course of the next three decades, the little mom and pop motorcycle shop grew into a true destination for motorcyclists. That was the time that Dick Allen, the good ol' cowboy that he was, decided to retire and just go riding.

Under new ownership, the business continued to grow through road rides, dual sports rides, parking lot barbeque's, and good times. Eventually, the new owner decided to focus his interests elsewhere but wanted the motorcycle dealership to continue to be run by motorcyclists for motorcyclists to give riders the attention and service that this wonderful riding area deserves. Enter Ken & Joe's.

With a history of motorcycling since he could walk and in the motorcycle business since the 1970's, Ken & Joe's owner understands what motorcyclists are looking for in a dealership. Ken & Joe's staff include members that have been serving riders in this area for up to forty years. Here, we believe every aspect of motorcycling should be a fun experience, from buying a new or pre-owned motorcycle, getting the accessories to make your bike more of what you want it to be, and trusting a service department that will keep your motorcycle on the road for years to come. We have been riding the trails, the canyons, and highways of our area for a long time. We can help make your ride the most fun it can be.

Ken & Joe's has a great history to live up to and much to build upon, it's almost like Ken & Joe's has come full circle back to Dick Allen's and motorcycling in the Santa Clarita Valley as it used to be. We at Ken & Joe's all look forward to continuing the enthusiasm and love of motorcycling and motorcycle people that Dick Allen started back in 1968. Welcome to the new Ken & Joe's Honda®, Kawasaki. There is a new cowboy in town.
